The world of an introvert…

Oftentimes, people see us as shy, quiet people. We remain calm in most situations, with no harsh reaction. They might ask us why? And they might see us as living in a different world. A part of that is true, the rest is not. We remain calm and quiet because the world is too loud to listen to our inner voice. Sometimes, that voice may rip us inside, finding a way to leak out. The voice desires to be heard, but only to those who really listen, who really care. Although we are less in spoken words, it does not mean we lack the ability to express ourselves. We know that – most people only hear what they want to hear, therefore, we reserved our words for meaningful sentences. Sentences we believe would make an impact, even if it is just a small one, or even for one in a million people.

We enjoy being alone and we have used to it. That is the reason why they perceive us as calmness. We know the world is too busy to care, so we keep on going with our own business. Yet, we are not lonely, and it does not mean we don’t need others around us. We understand the power of moments. There are moments to be alone by ourselves, there are moments to be surrounded by people. Whichever that is, we try our best to live it and enjoy it.

But the world put us in a box, where they think introverts would behave in certain ways in certain situations. They do not realize our flexibility. That flexibility allows us to put all our energy into the works we really want to do, not merely the works to satisfy any standards. That is where our liberation starts.
